About Our Aggressive Dog Training

At Sit Means Sit Charleston, our aggression training approach helps ensure your dog builds confidence that lessens their ability to feel threatened in unique settings. We’ll work to learn the triggers of your dog’s aggression and help them learn crucial skills to lessen their anxiety and develop better reactions in potentially stressful situations.

Why Aggression Training?

Aggression training may help your dog:

  • Reduce nipping or biting
  • Decrease reactivity
  • Lower fear-based aggression
  • Make socialization more comfortable
  • Lower stress levels
  • Gain coping mechanisms
  • Manage separation anxiety

With these new skills, your dog might be able to gain a new sense of happiness, contentment, freedom and flexibility. Moreover, they’ll learn to temper their confidence to ensure they remain secure, but well-behaved, around others.

I’m so grateful for this place! Both of our dogs came in lacking manners and struggling with reactivity, and Katelyn met them with incredible patience, kindness, and care. She took the time they needed to build a strong foundation for success, and it truly shows. We’re beyond happy with the progress they’ve made and can’t wait to start group classes!

Sit Means Sit was absolutely phenomenal with my german shepherd/belgian malinois mix. Before meeting the team, my boy would drag me across roads and parking lots trying to murder other dogs. By his graduation day he was able to be in a room full of other dogs without making a peep and be able to controlled on leash with another dog running directly in his path. Christine was magnificent with Atlas and got his butt into shape along while treating him with respect and patience that his breed requires. It felt like she treated him how she would her own dogs. The staff were incredibly helpful with all needs from scheduling to health requirements. Highly recommend using sit means sit for training needs. I will definitely be heading back for group classes in the future.
